Weinman and featured on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin from 1916 to 1947. The image features Liberty walking toward the sun on the horizon with the oak and laurel branches in her left hand and the American flag over her shoulders. First designed in 1794 by Robert Scot, the heraldic eagle depicted here was designed in 1986 by John Mercanti for use on the American Eagle Silver Coins.
